We flew back from Kirkenes, agreeing that Lapland was the
special highlight of the trip.
But we had a little more time in Oslo and made the best of it.

We had saved the Gustav Vigeland statues in Vigeland Park for our last day
of sightseeing. The park contains over 200 granite and bronze
statues and sculptures of this famed Norwegian sculptor. It is a
must-see in Oslo. We dashed around the park grounds choosing from among
the many amazing works of the famous sculptor. He produced human figures
in all shapes, sizes and postures, animals of all varieties, and a huge
monolithic pillar exhibiting an enormous mass of entwined people. We took
lots of pictures.

The next morning at 5 a.m. Emily and I caught a 5:30 a.m. train. We were
headed to the airport and home.
My dream trip had met every expectation---and more.
I could do it again some day.
